Today I’m wearing a Statement Midi Skirt called the Boden Imogen Skirt styled with a bright pink blouse.
I love midi skirts they have been a huge trend over the last few years which I am really pleased about as they are really flattering. This one caught my eye from Boden due to it’s statement polka dot print and embroidery flower burst detail. There is so much detail in the embroidery around the hem and I love the contrast of navy and white. This whole outfit is currently on summer clearance so won’t be around for long. A great buy if you wanted to wear it in the autumn with tights as its quite a thick cotton material or put away until the spring next year. I plan to wear the skirt with a bright sweater and tights in the autumn and some ankle boots.
A-line skirts are very on trend this season as is everything that was popular in the 1970s, but the history of the A-line skirt dates further back to the 1950s when Christian Dior launched her collection called New Look. This featured the first set of A-line skirts in fashion.
