Today’s look is a statement jacket outfit.

Happy Monday. I hope you had a lovely weekend. It was really cold here and rained and snowed for most of it so we spent most of the weekend indoors doing some jobs around the house.

Statement Jacket Outfit

I picked up the jacket in the Zara sale recently. I’m not sure that it will still be available to buy online. I checked the UK site but couldn’t see it. You may be lucky to find it in a Zara store in the sale section or ebay.

I wanted to show you how a statement jacket can really upgrade your look as the rest of the outfit is a black velvet jeans and tee. By adding the statement jacket, it really made the outfit go from being simple to something special.

Tips for styling a statement jacket

*Keep the rest of the outfit simple and minimal to allow the jacket to take the attention.

*Style with contrasting colour clothes and accessories to let the jacket pop or if you want you could pick one of the colours from your jacket and match it to your lipstick or shoes. I opted for a red lip to co-ordinate with the red in my jacket. It would also look great with orange or red shoes.
