Shedding my #styleYOUniform with George

Today’s post is showing you the results of a style challenge that I was set by George clothing at ASDA and it’s all about shedding my #styleYOUniform with George and ridding myself of jeans for 1 week.

The George #styleYOUniform challenge was to give up jeans for a week in place of dresses. They gave me a budget of £50 to get the dresses that I would need to last the week. I was able to get 4 dresses with the allowance and mixed and matched them in a capsule wardrobe style way with some of my own accessories for the week.

Here are the results below and a diary entry of the outfits I styled for each day. I hope you like the looks as much as I loved taking part in this challenge. I think all of the dresses are really easy to wear and can be styled in multiple ways. George has a great selection of work dresses, casual dresses, occasion dresses and many more.

Look 1

Here I have styled the floral sateen dress for a work look. I honestly fell in love with this dress when I saw it. You know I love a floral print. Well this one is no exception. The happy yellow flowers make a statement of spring. I have dressed it down with my navy blazer and black accessories.

A more casual work look with the crochet back dress in grey stripe. It’s a t-shirt style dress that I have dressed up to look more polished with my navy blazer and navy shoes. The pink bag carries my laptop.George Crochet Back Dress

Look 3

Casual mid week look with the plaited strap maxi dress in black. I think black maxi dresses are a wardrobe staple for spring and summer. This one is so comfortable and easy to wear. I have styled it up with my red bag, red lipstick and a short sleeved black cardigan.

Look 4

A plain black t-shirt dress with my black tweed blazer, pink accessories and snake print court shoes. This could be work appropriate too or just a nice outfit to go out for lunch.

Here I dressed up the floral sateen dress for a more fun look with a cardigan I had, which is also from George, my pink bag and navy shoes. You could easily go out straight from work wearing this too or attend a lunch date or date night!George Floral Sateen Dress

I am pairing the black t-shirt dress with my biker jacket and black accessories for an edgy look. Perfect for a night out at the pub.George Asda T-Shirt Dress

Look 7

Family Party. My final look of the challenge is featuring the plaited strap maxi dress again, this time styled with strappy heels and a clutch for a family party. It’s a great dress to take from day to night.

Overall, I loved this style challenge of shedding my #styleYOUniform with George, and styling the dresses was so much fun. I think these dresses are a great buy if you are on a budget as you can do so many different looks with them. My favourite dress was the floral sateen dress. I found it was the most flattering fit and I loved the print but all of the dresses and very wearable and versitile. I hope you enjoyed the George #styleYOUniform challenge.
