Today I’m talking about the Philips #HealthyHabitSwap Campaign that I’m currently taking part in.
I was recently contacted by Philips who kindly invited me to take part in the #HealthyHabitSwap Campaign which focuses on the benefits of juicing and have invited me to swap one unhealthy daily habit for a fresh made juice. Philips kindly sent me the new Avance Collection Centrifugal Juicer and a voucher to get some fruit and veggies to help me on my way!
I have in the past been into juicing and have covered it on the blog in a past post but my old juicer stopped working some time ago and then I got out of the habit so this couldn’t have come at a better time.
I have decided to swap my mid afternoon cup of tea for a home made juice when I’m feeling the mid afternoon slump. I have also just re-joined a gym so I’m hoping with my new juicing and exercise regime that I will get a lot healthier than I currently am at the moment.
The juicer itself is so easy to use and clean as it has a quick clean function which is great. It has two settings for a clear juice or a thicker juice which contains some pulp and fibre.
The juicer came with some great juicing recipes which I can’t wait to try out! I loved the sound of Pink Smoothie Symphony which I made as my first juice and is shown in the pics below. It was a thick smoothie style juice which I made on Level 2 which is maximum fibre setting and it contains grapes and strawberries. It was delicious and a consistency between a smoothie and juice. They also have a few juicing recipes on the Philips website too.
I am really looking forward to try some different juices in the next few weeks, as there are so many positive health benefits. I would love to know if you are currently juicing or is it something that you would be looking to get into? If so what’s your favourite juice? If you would swap one unhealthy habit for a juice what would it be? Let me know in the comments section below.
*The juicer was a gift from Philips along with a voucher to buy some fruit. All opinions expressed are my own.
