Today I’m showing you my new orange lipstick daytime makeup routine. I have been wearing an orange lipstick makeup look recently on the blog, and received quite a few comments about it. It’s been around 4 months since I have done a makeup routine post and thought I would do an updated one including my new orange lippy.
When it comes to makeup I’m no pro and most of the time make only small changes to my routine which is a lot of the time lipsticks. I like bright lipsticks (the brighter the better) especially when using them on the blog. The rest of the makeup I keep looking natural and minimal. Below is the current routine I have been doing and the products that I use daily.

I start by applying a concealer on any darker areas or spots that I may have. The one that I use is Clinique Airbrush Concealer in 01 Fair. I then go on and apply my foundation which is Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Makeup in 02 Alabaster. It’s a really natural look and the foundation is quite sheer.
On my eyes I have used a small sweep of Revlon Colour Stay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in Ocean Blue, Bourjois Liner Feutre Felt Tip Eyeliner in Noir. I find this eyeliner the easiest to use. With the felt tip style pen, it’s easier to achieve a straight line and you can build it up to the desired effect. The mascara I am using is Bourjois Volume Glamour in ultra black. This is one of the few mascaras that I have been re-buying since my teens. For the price, it really is fabulous. On my eyebrows, I am using Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in Soft Brown.
On my cheeks, I am using Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop. This is a very bright pop of peach and I only really wear this when I wear an orange or red lip, and change to a pink blush when I wear my plum and pink lipsticks. It’s really good and has a great pigment.
Finally, the Lipstick is Boots No7 Stay Perfect Lipstick in Gay Geranium. I actually bought this one day in a rush. I went down to my local Boots store which is close to my house, looking for a red lipstick to wear on the blog. This was all they in had in stock so I reluctantly purchased it; I have not really stopped wearing it since. It’s a really bright vibrant orange colour and it lasts almost all day so minimum re-applying which suits me!

I always feel strange posting my makeup posts as the photos are more close up than my usual fashion posts where most of the time I’m forced to wear sunglasses as the sun gets in my eyes.
