I’m a fan of the brand Merumaya, I featured the Iconic Youth Serum a few weeks ago in a review post, which I am still using in between my cleanse and moisturiser. They have just launched the Merumaya Gentle Exfoliating Toner and sent me some to try and show to you on the blog.
There has been a lot of talk recently about exfoliating toners and this is my first try as it’s not something I thought I really needed before and was unsure what they were. I have also heard that they can be very harsh on the skin and having fairly sensitive skin myself, products like that scare me. Merumaya however claims to be an exfoliating toner that is as gentle on the skin as it is effective.
The toner combines an effective concentration of natural AHA’s with complimenting moisturising ingredients. The aim of the results is to remove dead skin cells and reveal brighter, smoother skin, refine pores, help minimise blemishes and give a hydrated, softened, buffered feel that has no ouch!
The key ingredients are:
- Hyaluronic Acid which holds up to x1000 its own weight in water. A hydration hero which adds plumpness and reduces fine lines.
- Natural Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) which remove the dead skin cells
- Natural Betaine leaves skin with a smooth, silky and buffered effect.

I have tried it on a my face and didn’t react so looking promising for me to use long term. It also left my skin feeling hydrated and smooth feeling. I will be trying it again on a more regular basis in the hope of getting some good results, but wanted to spread some awareness about the new product. You can use it on a regular basis or as needed when you feel like your skin is playing up or needs a boost. I think it will come in especially good for me if I suffer a breakout to use on the targeted area.
I spent some time reading the reviews left by customers over on the Merumaya website and it seems to be a great product for all that have written about it so far.
I also love the packaging the bottle feels very luxurious and love the burgundy label. Definitely looking lovely on the dressing table.
