Today’s outfit is a floral skirt in the winter look.
Floral Skirt In The Winter
I love florals and this outfit shows that they can be worn all year round even in the winter.
It was a freezing cold day so I was bundled up in a cozy coat wearing my floral skirt with some thick black tights and ankle boots. I have also recently been wearing this skirt with trainers (see here for the post). I have had the coat since last year and it’s starting to look like a vintage coat as the wool has gone so fluffy and bobbly but I always reach for this one when it’s really cold as it’s so warm and soft.
Tips for wearing floral skirts in the winter
*Opt for a dark floral that will match your winter colour palette. This also makes it easier to wear with thick tights as they are mostly darker colours too.
*Mix different textures into the look, for example, pairing with a textured coat or knitwear as this makes the outfit seem more autumn/winter and gives a cozy feel.
*Match the colours in the print to the rest of your look like I have here by choosing to keep the rest of the outfit all black like the background of the print. I have also worn this skirt with a pink jumper which looked nice too.
