Checked Jacket Outfit AW17

Today’s look is my checked jacket outfit.

The checked blazer or jacket is a key trend this autumn and this H&M checked jacket is a recent addition to my AW17 wardrobe, that I also recently wrote about in my autumn wardrobe updates post.

How I’m wearing the checked jacket outfit

I think this checked wool blend jacket is a great buy for autumn as it is a wool mix and feels quite warm for the cooler season, but not as heavy as wearing a coat. It’s great now layered over a tee like I have below, or later on in the season over a sweater. It has the look of a blazer but feels like a lightweight wool coat.

I added a pop of colour into this look with my oxblood ankle boots and co-ordintaed my lipstick to match. I wanted to mention the lipstick as it’s a recent purchase from The Body Shop and I have been really impressed with it so far. It’s a matt liquid lipstick but feels so nice on the lips and not drying at all. There are lots of shades available and I’m wearing the shade Goa Mongolia which is a deep pinky purple. I would love to try the others in the range too and plan on making my next lipstick purchase another. It’s a gorgeous colour for this season and a nice change to my usual red lipstick.
