Today’s look features the Bus Stop x Joanie Kensington Dress.
Hello everyone and Happy Friday! I hope you are set for a good weekend ahead!
I wanted to talk a little about the new collaboration with 1970s fashion brand Bus Stop and Joanie. If you follow the blog you may have noticed that I like Joanie dresses and feature them on a regular basis. This collaboration between Bus Stop and Joanie was really interesting to me. Bus Stop is an iconic British fashion brand from the 1970s and Joanie have launched a small collection of pieces using designs and prints that are inspired by the Bus Stop Archives.
The collection is really beautiful. The prints are really great and there are some beautiful dresses, jumpsuits and separates available in this collection. I opted for the Kensington Flounce Collar Midi Dress as I loved the flattering fit and midi length and can see myself wearing this dress into spring and beyond.
The design of the dress is very similar to a 1930s Tea dress with a 1970s print. This particular style and print dress was launched in the 1970s as part of one of Bus Stops collections for Grattan Catalogue. The fabric of the dress is made from a sustainable viscose crepe and is really beautiful to wear.
