Boden Velvet Coat

Today I am wearing my new Boden Velvet Coat. I have recently purchased it as my go to autumn jacket along with the coatigan shown in yesterday’s post.

I love the Dusty Violet Colour and the velvet which is Boden’s signature coat. In fact it was this very style of coat that attracted me to Boden years and years ago when I first started shopping with them. Before they grew into a huge brand.

The coat has a very retro feel to it. The shape is quite sixties swing coat style, and it has this gorgeous sixties style floral lining that reminds me so much of Mary Quant. The retro print is just so adorable and cheery.

I am wearing the coat with an animal print t-shirt from last winter at Boden, My new favourite clutch the Boden Zip Top Pouch, Navy trousers and my Asos Pull Strings High Heels that just so happen to be a great match with the dusty violet colour of the coat. The coat also has a pleat detail at the back which I think looks so feminine and gives a lovely flattering shape.
