Hi everyone, I’m introducing a new jewellery brand to the blog today which I recently discovered make beautiful handmade and sustainable glass jewellery inspired by the sea.
Beach Art Glass Sustainable Handmade Jewellery
Beach Art Glass crafts sustainable glass jewellery using lampwork, a traditional bead making technique where a stick of murano glass is melted in a flame and shaped into a bead using heat, gravity and the artist Julie Fountain’s own treasured tools.
At Beach Art Glass each piece is made completely by hand. Even the sterling silver and argentium findings are ethically sourced and made by a silversmith here in the UK.
The piece of jewellery that I have added to my own collection is the Turning Tides heart pendant. The beautiful glass heart pendant is part of the Turning Tides Collection and what makes this collection even more sustainable and special is that it’s decorated using recycled waste glass that is left over from the beads that are made in the studio. Also another great thing is that £5 form each piece sold goes from the Turning Tides collection at Beach Art Glass to the Ocean Generation Charity. So far Beach Art Glass have donated over £2500 to this wonderful environmental charity.
The quality of my necklace is really beautiful you can tell that the chain is well crafted, strong and the glass bead is just beautiful especially when it hits the light. The jewellery is designed to last a lifetime. This pendant will be perfect to wear in the spring and summer months and will pair really beautifully with spring and summer outfits.
My Beach Art Glass necklace came in a lovely gift box and wrapped in tissue paper to keep it nice and secure when in transit. This makes a piece of jewellery bought from Beach Art Glass a perfect gift even if you send directly to the recipient they will be sure to receive a beautifully packaged piece of jewellery.
I hope you enjoyed discovering the brand Beach Art Glass as much as I have. You can find the Turning Tides Collection here.
