Today my outfit is inspired by the 2015 trend of ruffles. This trend has been around this season and is set to stay a strong trend for Autumn Winter 15/16. I love the femininity of ruffles in fashion. The trend has been in and out for many years and dates back to Victorian times and beyond. It creates a feminine interest to an outfit and adds a new dimension to an item of clothing.
2015 Ruffle Trend
The runway shows for winter 2015/16 were full of many strong trends that are set to be carried through to winter. The colours for the upcoming seasons are lovely autumnal shades of red, brown, navy, bottle greens and black. The 1970s trend is staying strong and a mix of 1970s with ruffles for femininity is a key look. Another take on ruffles is the Victorian trend that was seen in the Chanel pre fall 2015 show. There were coats with ruffles and frills, jackets and blouses with high frilly collars and much more.
Here is my outfit. Now although I’m not in full victoriana dress up, its my take on the 2015 ruffle trend in an easy wearable outfit that can be dressed up and down for any occasion. I find that you can get some great items on the high street now. The blouse is from ZARA and the high waisted cigarette trousers are from ASOS.
I hope you like the look and let me know your thoughts on the 2015 ruffle trend in the comments section below.
