Today’s post is all about the new season plaid trend 2017.
This season, checks and plaid are a very strong trend and are in many of the new AW17 collections. I love checks and love to wear them at this time of year so am really happy that they are a trend this year but I also look at them as a classic too as really they never seem to go out of style in the autumn and winter.
How I’m wearing the plaid trend 2017
I picked up this checked dress from Zara a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, it’s not part of the current collection as it was in the sale but I have seen many checked dresses on the high street too so you could easily re-create a similar look.
I absolutely love the shape of this dress with the high low hemline and casual shirt style. Although this seems like quite a casual style, I feel really dressed up in it and would probably wear it in a more dressy way like for a night out or a party. It would be great around Christmas time.
As the temperature has now dropped, I added some black tights, black ankle boots and finished the look of with my black rockstud bag.
